New Find: Sugar Plum Quartz from Goias, Brazil; Pink Quartz, Red Quartz, Maroon Quartz, Rare Quartz, Brazilian Quartz, Hematite Quartz, Iron

Gorgeous Sugar Plum Quartz point from Brazil

Measures: Approximately 1 1/2” x 1 x 3”

Sugar Plum Quartz are a recent find from the region of Goias, Brazil. I have not seen them before, or since, acquiring the entire lot, and am honored that I was chosen to offer them to the public. I have named them “Sugar Plum” due to their purple-magenta hues.

What causes their Coloring?
The Plum hues are a lustrous combination of Hematite and Iron Oxide, with an additional coating of clear Quartz over-giving that glassy effect. The clarity within each point is just unreal!
